This does everything (and probably more that I haven’t learned yet) that I expected it to do. Build quality is top notch, including a really nice case it came with. I would be nice if the metal tape was 25′ rather than 10′, but sill glad I spent the money on this one.

As I understand it Acegmet is a division of the very respected Milessey digital tape company and having both this and the Milessey DT20, you can see the joint heritage from this Chinese technology vendor. Honestly, my respect for both vendors has gone way up as I experience the quality and accuracy of their designs. With almost three times the reach of the DT20 laser on this unit plus a color screen, it did not take a great deal of study to become comfortable with the various operating modes. I was hesitant to splurge but for the bigger projects, the measuring accuracy plus the green marking laser seems to be among the best of this category digital tape measure. A bit of a splurge for the home shop use when the DT20 does a great job BUT I have to admit smiling every time I use this.

Great tool. Little hard to understand how to use at first, but once I played with it, it was great! Only reason I haven’t given it a 5 Star, is that there is no options to purchase a spare battery for it for longer use. If the battery it comes with runs out, then that’s it. You have to wait to charge it before painstakingly having to put it back in and use again (it’s a screwed in type Battey casing, where you need a screwdriver to open it to get the battery, then you can charge the battery directly, then reinstall and rescrew the battery casing back on for use). So unless there is an option to buy a second battery for charging and making it easier to do swap outs, or they design the next model to include charging it while it’s installed in the device, then unfortunately 4 star it will remain.

Es una herramienta útil y práctica, que haga los cálculos ella sola es genial!

Ease of use once you learn how to use and develop a sense of its functions. However, it would have been nice, especially considering its price, if it would have had an included bag to secure it in.I keep it in its original box until such time, I have a drawstring carrying bag custom made (in the works) for this expensive tool!

Not a smart tape at all! Its actually very silly design. In order for you to charge the battery you have to use a screwdriver remove the battery from the bottom of that they measure and charge it so if you’re on the fieldwork and your contractor this is absolutely a waste of time and you will never be able to use your day and every time you want to use it, it will be out of power! Not a good buy in my book!! Waste of money and way overpriced for such technology!

Good:- laser is better than the Tomahawk- point and click laser measurements- cheaper than TomahawkBad- screwdriver required to undo battery door- battery has to be removed to be charged- defaults to inches in decimals rather than 16ths or 32nds- needs to be calibrated (Tape would extend several inches before it started to measure)- no magnetic tip like the Tomahawk- Tape is skinny and doesn’t have a very good reachOverall the Tomahawk is better, but this is an ok cheaper alternative

I couldn’t figure out how to get the green line laser to work so after some YouTubing figured out it was the yellow button on the upper right that has the tape measure icon. Instructions not that clear so YouTube is your best friend in this regard.

I was contacted by the company after I returned the product. It was probably a month later and they apologized that the tape broke on first use and offered to send me a new one to try for free. A couple weeks later I received the new one. I used it while finishing up a project I had on going. I really like its feature. Laser measures, digital display, and versatility. The only shortcomings I see, the hand pull tape to short, end of tape is even with the body and makes more difficult to attach to objects. The Laser and features are numerous and give you a lot of flexibility however. The only other thing is you have to remove battery to charge. Whisked you could plug straight to device. Or maybe it should come with extra battery at their price point. Overall very nice price of equipment.

Don’t need it every day but when I do need it, I’m glad I have it
